thank Allah and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.Among the categories of zakat specified are those who are in debt, as stated in the verse: “Zakat expenditures are only for the poor and the needy and those who collect it and those whose hearts are to be reconciled [to Islam] and for freeing slaves and for the cause of Allah and for the traveler. This is an obligation imposed by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.” (At-Tawbah: 60). Those in debt are those who are obligated to pay a fine for money that is not in disobedience to Allah or in extravagance. Therefore, spending on these people is according to what was mentioned above, so there is no objection to giving them zakat. Allah is the Grantor of success to what is good, and He is the Most Knowing of what is correct.
